The New Gear

I am super excited and thrilled to finally have all my own gear. Before I had to borrow my dad's Canon 20D or my aunts Nikon something to do photoshoots with. Now I have my very own Canon 50D, with two lenses and an extra battery. This gives me all the core components to add to the accessories I already had, like my abundance of CF memory, my Gorillapod, my tripod, my dad's flash that I have the use of, as well as the two point and shoots we have, our Fuji S9000 and our Nikon CoolPix S510, which are excellent for macro's and as backups. This is very exciting for me. I am thrilled to have a 50mm f/1.8 lens as one of my lens and can't wait to take more pictures with it...
Here is one of the pictures I snapped off with my new camera with the 50mm lens:

I am looking at this summer fly by and am wondering where all the time has gone... June seemed to come and go in a blink. And the rest of summer is bound to fly by with my schedule. August is especially busy with shoots, as well as hopefully another trip to the mountains (we went not that long ago as sort of a belated anniversary trip and I hope to get a few pictures up at some point) just before I start school. I start July off with a wedding shoot, we're hoping to do a family camping trip with my parents and brother and his wife, and I'm keeping rather busy at the farm as well. We also have some awesome friends coming out for a visit which is exciting. But I may be able to squeeze in another shoot in July if someone wants to book soon. August is basically full it seems, and September already has two shoots, plus I begin school. I can't wait to start school and finally be on the road to getting what I want.

Anyhow, I'm just rambling now. I was just really excited about my new camera and lenses. All the better to serve you with. :D
