The Person Behind The Camera

Sarah Gale is a photographer in Alberta, Canada. She is pursuing photography on the side as she pursues her other dream of becoming a veterinarian. She loves natural light photography, but has worked with studio/strobist lighting.

She was introduced to photography by her father and got her first camera as an early teenager and started burning through film rolls right away. With the introduction of her first digital camera a whole new world of post-editing opened up for her and throughout high school she played with photo-editing software. She'd always been arts inclined, so she spent a year at ULeth in a Fine Arts program for MultiMedia, but realized she like doing art more on her own terms than on the terms of others, and left after the first year, having gained some more tricks and knowledge of photo-editing and art in general.

She spent a few years getting more settled into life, got married, and finally decided to pursue her career as a veterinarian, but the arts still called out to her, and as she explored the web one day she discovered Flickr, and was inspired to nurture her artistic side as well, and that has led to a renewed interest in photography.

Sarah has experience with event photography, couples sessions, children, maternity, and baby, as well as with creative portraiture, animals, and with still life/landscapes. She loves details and would love to try her hand at product and branding photography.
